I have a mobile home and currently it has an 80 gallon water heater. It seems like such a waste for 2 people. Not to mention the water is never hot.
My home is 14x 70. I live in so central pa.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with them. Are they cheaper to run? Can you even put one in a mobile home? Are there any bad points to them? How much do they cost to install?
In other words anything you can tell me would be great. Including brands to avoid or best ones. I would rather spend a little more and not have it die (lol).
Thank you !

Even if she lifts the phone, she says she had some other plans for the weekend. But after 2 weeks, she calls me and told that we can meet coming week end.when i called her that weekend, her father lifted the phone. From last 3 weekends she is not calling me. nor she lifts the mobile if i call her ? I cannot understand why she is behaving with me like ? I am interested in buying a tax lien on a mobile home in 2009 or 2010 for personal use; with a PURCHASE budget of $500-4,000. (not including lot rent)
I’m looking for a single-wide, and I only need one bedroom and one bathroom, though I’m sure I’ll get more than that.
I’m interested in metro’s with at least 150,000 people in any of the following states: minnesota, wisconsin, tennessee, alabama, arkansas, oklahoma, texas, kansas, nebraska, missouri, iowa, new mexico, arizona, nevada, oregon, washington, and california.
So, to ensure that I get my title right on the spot (if I understand this all correctly), which of these states do NOT have the right of redemption law applying to government sold tax liens?

I hear so many people call other people who live in a mobile home “trailer trash” or they think they are low life losers because they dont live in a house. It outrages me because I too live in a mobile home and I dont consider myself any lower or different than anyone else. This really burns me up how some people think if you dont own a big home that you are a low life or loser. With the cost of living and unemployment as high as it is, not everyone can afford a big home. And what is the difference between an apartment, home, trailer or whatever. A home is where you can hang your hat. My question is why do so many have this un mature way of thinking?

There’s a mail box on the side of the road not too far from where I live. A man used to live there in a mobile home and he left a couple of years ago. The mailbox he used to get mail is still there. Could I take it since no one is obviously using it? Would it be illegal for me to take it? Do I need to contact the post office?

Is trailer suppose to be installated from what to what? What about under your floor? I want to know the California state law about ” It’s the laws.” where can I find out without anyone else. I need the guide on trailer home renter. The kind that will tell detail of what is the law about double wide trailer home when renting or befiore renting the trailer from mobile home park. For example -Are there law that every trailer is to have heater and AC working. OR got even your own washer when moving in but a notice was mail to you saying all washer, dishwasher, waterbed, fish tank are not allow in the mobile trailer home and must either remove , do not use and or can storage it for us if we needed to? They want to take my dishwasher out and are not going to fix or repair it (knowing it need repairing work done on it) I was told not expect it to return because he no longer taking responibilities for something we agree I would have but it was there when I moved in. I didn’t bring it

Before you say anything, I know there is section 8, but in this state (Maryland) there is a waiting list for YEARS to get on it, and even if you DO get on it the rent will still be like $500, compared with my mom and sister who are living with a woman in Albany NY and said their rent is only like $88! And they EASILY got on section 8! I don’t know how they did it. Plus a lot of other people are with a guy and have kids, which is also discouraging because I would like to have kids of my own, and it seems more like they give them priority over other people.
Andyhow, I am in southern Maryland, which is still a really long drive (over 60 miles) to DC, and even the cheapest worst apartments around here are still $700 per month without section 8. You would think in a rural area like this, and where there are no jobs, apartments would be cheaper, but they are still that much. For the record I have a 4 year college degree and graduated college in May 2008! and STILL I can’t find a job, plus I am just living in a messed up mobile home with my dad and brother, which still costs $680 per month, and since none of us can get jobs (my dad won’t even TRY to get a job and actually tries to DISCOURAGE me from getting one) we don’t have any money for anything at all other than bills; we just have to use food stamps for food and wear the same clothes we have for years.
Also my brother and I can’t drive although I am 23 and he is 25, because Maryland makes everyone take driver ed and the course costs $325. So the only way I have to get anywhere is to ride with my dad, and he refuses to drive me places to see about jobs because he just claims I won’t end up getting one.
So I just want to know how is it that Amber on that teen mom show was able to go several places and find inexpensive apartments, when I can’t even find ANYTHING for less than $700 per month. I even heard one quoted on that show as only $300 something a month! I would KILL for that! Also, she just got a GED and applied for a job, and it actually showed someone CALLING her about the job, when NO ONE EVER offers me a job even with my COLLEGE DEGREE! AND I DO call them back after I apply, but they just keep giving me the runaround.
There is no point in me living in this rural area if things are even MORE difficult and expensive here than they would even be in an accesible major city like Albany NY where my sister and mom live with her friend. But my dad doesn’t want to leave Maryland or drive anywhere unfamiliar, and we can’t even move because since none of us can get a job we can’t afford anything else, and there is nothing I can find less expensive than our current mobile home payment of $680 per month.

A friend of mine is selling her trailer that she used to live in before she moved to another one. I’m almost thinking my roommate and I should buy the mobile home. I know it’s older, probably mid-eighties ish, but she’s selling it for $4000, which I would be able to pay cash. The park has a rent of $250 a month, but since I’m buying the trailer outright, that’s the only rent I would have to pay, plus heat and electric. Right now we’re have a small apartment for $600 monthly rent, plus heat and electric, in a nosy building with no pets… So it seems like a good option. What are the pros and cons of buying mobile homes and does it seem like a good idea? (FYI, my roommate and I have been living together for years and it isn’t so much as a roommate situation as a partnership – we even have a joint bank account, so I’m not worried about that at all)
